Welcome to Nam soldier! You'll soon be stalking Charlie in the thick jungles of Vietnam, your CAR-15 in hand, wondering whether he's above, below or behind you. Watch out for traps, snipers up in the trees, or spider-holes and tunnels while securing villages to win Hearts and Minds. Fly long range bombing and CAS missions from the Gulf of Tonkin. Target the NVA SAM batteries from afar, or deliver napalm into the treeline to support your hard-pressed comrades.

The Unsung team, working on an authentic Vietnam-era mod pack since OFP brings you realistic jungle fighting, hand-to-hand combat and fully 3-dimensional warfare in this immersive mod pack for Arma 3.

Terrain Information:

Da Krong
The new Da Krong terrain built by Razorback is at the heart of the Unsung for Arma 3 development. The terrain offers a rolling landscape with a highway, two waterways, two fixed US bases atop of hills and various Vietnamese settlements. The area is dominated by a dense jungle which may hold a surprise or two for the unwary squad exploring it. Buildings used are partially of Unsung 2.6 legacy, partially freshly developed.

Vehicle Information:
Currently the alpha build contains conversions of the Jeep, the CH-34 transport helicopter, the patrol boat, the F-4, the LVTP-5A1 Amtrac and the converted Arma 2 Ural for NVA use. Combined with this is GrumpyRhino's Huey fleet for rapid transportation and battlefield support. Needless to say that there are many Arma 2 vehicles that are waiting for a conversion to Arma 3 use, so expect the vehicles list to be gradually expanded.

Unit Information:
Various NVA units have been converted to Arma 3: infantry of '65, infantry of '68, crews, recon of '65. This main NVA force is augmented by VC main forces, recon forces and regional forces. The US side is presented by US marines of '65, the 1st ID and SOG units. Further new soldier models are in the making and will gradually replace the older Arma 2 models.

Weapon Information:
The list of individual weapons converted to Arma 3 is already to long to be included here. Of course the M-16 and AK-47 are converted as mainstay weapons of the involved forces.

;)

You are absolutely right! Although on some classes the straw hat is there, I definitely think since they are custom units for the TvT, you should make use of the newly added Black and Brown VC Boonie Hats! They make for some realistic variety, and if you want to go even further you can suggest to use a mix of the new blue and khaki VC uniforms as well as the black ones. Although I represent the devs for realism sake I totally agree here and wonder if my suggestion helps!
