Initial situation for CDR PzBtl911 at 201630 Bsep1988



1)situation
a)enemy:
RED is attacking with a MechInfDiv. This morning the point battalion of the point MechInfRgt attacked FULDA and established a bridge head over the river FULDA.
It was a hard fight. With a lot of Close Air Support and more Artillery they expanded the bridge head till line NEUENBERG-JOHANNESBERG.
They had a lot of losses, so we think they can`t attack with this battalion again.
North of us a reinforced BTR battalion is attacking in general western direction, along the FULDA river to KÄMMERZELL.
In the south we could stop the attack of a tank battalion between line HAMMERZ - JOHANNESBERG.
They withdrawed back to the bridge head, but we think they will start their next attack shortly.
We think the main intention of the enemy is to attack with the 2nd Echelon of the point regiment shortly.
We think the point of main effort is the route to the northwest along the B254 to GROSSENLÜDER-LAUTERBACH-ALSFELD.

b)own:
PzBtl911 is in delay action since this morning. We stopped the enemy attack on DL 1.
We had a high losses by enemy CAS and artillery fire.
Parts of our battalion withdrawed and are now on DL2 in position.
2nd CO, committed in the north, lost 40% combat power and is in position on DL2.
5th CO, committed in the centre, had less losses, and is with some parts still in position on DL1. The CO is combat ready to 70%.
3rd CO, committed in the south, had high losses. They lost 70% of their combat power during the attack of an enemy tank battalion and withdrawed to DL2.
4th CO, Btn reserve, ist combat ready and in position between line MÜS - EICHENAU.
The I. PLT of 6./911 (replacement company, Repl CO) is situated on the eastern edge of MÜS.
Minutes ago the III. PLT 2./JgBtl916 (new attachment) arrived in our combat area and is situated on B254 south of GROSSENLÜDER.
2 SPAAGs and a HQ TPz from FlaBtl110 are in cooperation with us and also in the area GROSSENLÜDER.
Our left neighbor is PzGrenBtl913.
To our right is the JgBtl916 fighting.
Both battalions have enemy contact, but till now low losses.
500 westwards LADENHAUSEN is the I.PLT 4./RakArtBtl122 (4x LARS launcher) situated. They are not attached and not in cooperation with us, but their main task is to support us.

The I. PLZ - II. PLZ - III. PLT 4./911, III. PLT 5./911, I. PLT/ Repl CO, 2./FlaBtl110, III. PLT 2./JgBtl216 will repair a fuel leak automatically after 6 minutes.
All other tanks, IFVs or ARVs have to go to a DSMP to repair their fuel leak.
All single tanks in the map have the possibility to repair a broken Engine and the Stabilization.
All singel IVFs in the map have the possibility to repair a broken Engine.
