Suite à la rupture des accords internationaux sur les données bancaires et la fourniture d'énergie par la république indépendante d'Altis, l'opération Rossignol est mise en place par la france qui dépend maintenant énormément de l'électricité produite sur l'île, suite aux nombreuses grèves dans les centrales nucléaires. La suisse, alliée de son voisin, veut profiter de la confusion créée pour supprimer le colonel Sirkis qui la menace de vendre des données bancaires qui pourraient mettre à mal tout le secteur bancaire helvétique.

Following the breaking of international agreements on banking data and energy supply by the independent republic of Altis, operation Rossignol is set up by France, which is now heavily dependent on the electricity produced on the island, following the numerous strikes in the nuclear power stations. Switzerland, allied to its neighbour, wants to take advantage of the confusion created to suppress Colonel Sirkis who threatens to sell banking data that could damage the entire Swiss banking sector.

SITAC/Backstory

Pulau, Septembre 1993
Depuis de nombreuses années, la partie occidentale de l'archipel de Pulau est sous contrôle américain, au grand dam de la population. Les forces armées de libération de Pulau, aidées secrètement par le gouvernement anglais, mettent sur pied une opération pour bouter l'oncle sam de son territoire de façon plus énergique.

For many years, the western part of the Pulau archipelago has been under American control, much to the dismay of the population. The armed liberation forces of Pulau, secretly aided by the British government, set up an operation to drive Uncle Sam out of its territory more forcefully.
