SITAC/Historical Context



The year is 2024,

In aftermath of Gibraltar's seizure by Spanish forces, the British are struggling to find a location to counter attack against Spain. A US carrier task force is enforcing a no-fly zone overhead, preventing large scale bombing or missile strikes.

Under mounting pressure to retaliate against Spain's audacious move, a daring plan emerges. Codenamed "Galician Gambit," this covert operation sets its sights on A Coruña port and its environs.

The outcome holds the potential to tilt the scales of the conflict decisively in either direction. Should British forces successfully neutralize Spanish artillery emplacements, it could deliver a significant blow to Spain's military capabilities, opening the door to a larger British invasion. Conversely, if Spanish defenders manage to repel the British incursion, pushing them back into the sea once more, it would bolster Spain's position and demonstrate the resilience of their defenses.

The fate of the war hangs in the balance as both sides vie for supremacy in this high-stakes showdown. "Galician Gambit" embodies a pivotal moment in the unfolding drama between Great Britain and Spain, where audacity and precision are the harbingers of victory.  The stage is set for a high-stakes gambit that will reverberate across nations.

• Hon. / British SBS squads can choose their spawn points., between the 6 sub locations marked.This is done by side or squad leaders contacting wombat before the mission. Failure to do this will mean they are given a random spawn location. They can choose to spawn together or in separate locations.
• Hon. / The M109 Artillery are unlocked but have no fuel, and start with no ammo.
• Hon. / The M109 Artillery are not allowed to be moved by any means
• Hon. / Artillery Ammo is in the Supply trucks in the southern Spanish spawn
• Hon. / The Spanish M113-M2 Squads must fill at least one crew slot.
• Hon. / Spanish manning supply trucks or the artillery once armed they do not need to follow rambo/lonewolf/fireteam rules. E.g. a 1-2 man team manning artillery is ok. If they leave the artillery they must try to meet up again though.
