1. CAMPAIGN

Eastern Wind is a 6 missions campaign organized by “Secondo Reggimento Incursori” (hereinafter “2RGT”). 2RGT aim to offer an interesting series of TvT events in a friendly environment, to enjoy a mil-sim atmosphere through the cooperation with other international units.
In each chapter of the independence war between URSS and the Republic of Chernarus, you will face different objectives to complete and achieve campaign points and information about the enemy location. The latter will be used in the 6th and final mission, where each side will be provided with a task and no intel on it, beside the information retrieved during the previous 5 missions (be aware, some intel could be misleading!). The winning side will be the one which collected the most campaign points at the end of the 6th mission.
The Campaign is designed to promote the infantry firefight with the support of light vehicles, in a simulative and immersive story. Therefore, mission objectives are predetermined since the beginning of the campaign and infantry weapons, as well vehicles availability is set accordingly to balance the missions, in full respect of the storyline.

2. BACKGROUND

The socialist republic of Chernarus has been part of the USSR since its foundation in 1922, representing one of the states with the greatest influence of the entire Eastern bloc. After World War II, Belarus received a seat at the United Nations general assembly, along with USSR and Ukraine. A violent reaction broke out in Chernarus with several protests of political and intellectual leaders, concerned about the potential impact on Chernarus’ influence in the whole Eastern bloc. Slowly the situation returned to normal, but growing impatience with USSR policies aimed at favouring member states closer to the NATO bloc.
On 28th October 1990 democratic parliamentary elections were held and on 9th April 1990 the independence from the USSR was declared by the nationalist leader Zviak Gamsekhurtia and the new formed nation was called the Republic of Chernarus. As first among the socialist republics to leave the Eastern bloc, the secession was not recognized by the Soviet Union. However, this event triggered strong instability in the area and other socialist republics showed strong push towards recognition of their independence.
With the intent to give a strong signal, a motorized division was sent to support the troops stationed in the area. This reaction was perceived by the government of Chernarus as an armed invasion and an attack on the independence of the newly formed Republic of Chernarus.

3. RULES

Each side may deploy a maximum of 40 players
Each mission lasts 120 minutes with additional 15 minutes of warmup time in game.
Players are not allowed to leave their respective starting area before the end of the warmup.
A maximum of 10 points might be earned during each mission, awarded as follow:
Primary Objective: 5 points;
Secondary Objective : 3 points;
Secondary Objective: 2 points.

At the completion of any objective, a random intel (predetermined during the mission design) will be given to the respective side. Some secondary objectives may provide additional bonuses (see each mission briefing) such as:

Armed light vehicles;
Starting areas in a better position;
Improved infantry weapons and or gears;
A malus to the opposite side.

Any breach of the following rules will result in a penalty of 5 campaign points:

It is strictly forbidden to kill AIs to recover their gear.
It is forbidden to steal enemy radio or uniform
You can only use TFAR for communication in game
Chat text is authorized only for technical issues.
It is required at least one crew chief to unlock an armed vehicle.
Any unfair use of the after death spectator mode is strongly forbidden.

20.09.2023[Public TvT] Operation Euphrates Fury - 28.09.2023

Shortly after the end of Operation Desert Storm in Iraq, tensions remained in the region, and US intelligence obtained information that Iraqi troops had hidden a fleet of armoured vehicles, posing a continuing threat to the stability of the region.
The US-led coalition, concerned about this potential threat, decided to launch an operation, dubbed "Euphrates Fury", to locate and destroy these vehicles.

Germany has been on the retreat. The allies are trying to cut off a separated mechanized group of German Tiger tanks. The German's are trying to get the tanks to safety while engaging in a fighting retreat.

The troubles have waged in Ireland for years, conflict has made the streets battlegrounds. This bloodshed is fed by a constant supply of arms from sympathetic groups outside of Ireland. With the largest shipment to date due, now is the time for the PIRA to show the world how much power they have and take control of an entire town. However, the timing has not worked out and now swift British intervention could show the world how in control they are. Once again this will be decided by battles on the streets. .

The year is 2025, the global political situation is worse than ever, nonrenewable resources are almost depleted and the global economy is in decline. This left Europe in a state of rapid deterioration. The European Union disintegrated and former member states went into chaos. Something unexpected happened. The Czech Republic found a new, yet unused deposit of coal, crude oil, and uranium. This deposit was found west of Ustí Nad Labem, which is also known as the Chernarus area. A new refinery was built in the city of Chernogorsk. This refinery was supposed to be used to manufacture enough oil for the entire Czech Republic with some to spare which would be sold. Germany intercepted a radio communication about the plans and decided, that they will not let it just be, as now they have the biggest refinery and almost no crude oil to refine. If they managed to capture the refinery, the entire south part of Chernarus would be in their control. This would mean that the newly found deposits would be under their control, with a closeby refinery already built. This is why the Bundeswehr was tasked with the capture of the city of Chernogorsk. The operation is taking place on Monday, 09.06.2025, 0340 hours. The Army of the Czech Republic is however ready for this and sent a considerable part of its soldiers and equipment to protect Chernogorks.

Avril 2013 - République de Chernarus, région de Lusianka, Novodmitrovsk.
Au début de l'année 2011, la petite région de Lusianka s'est rebellée contre le pouvoir central de Chernarus. Depuis, un conflit sanglant fait rage entre deux entités : les forces nationales supportées par plusieurs pays occidentaux et les forces indépendantistes, supportées elle-même par plusieurs anciennes républiques socialistes soviétiques. Le conflit n'a connu presque aucun répit depuis février 2011, et les victimes civiles sont hautes. La presse internationale et plusieurs ONG font état de 25 000 morts, et plus du triple ont décidé de quitter la région, voir le pays. Les deux camps se rejettent mutellement la faute, et il est difficile de désigner un seul coupable.

Récemment, les forces nationales sont parvenues à repousser les forces rebelles dans leur dernier bastion : la ville de Novodmitrovsk. Le moral reste haut dans les deux camps, les uns comme les autres refusent de céder la victoire. Les événements de cette nouvelle journée de combat vont changer le cours de cette guerre, et bientôt il sera temps de faire le bilan des pertes. Une question est déjà entrain de se répandre parmi les protagonistes : est-ce que le coût en valait vraiment la peine ?

April 2013 - Republic of Chernarus, region of Lusianka, Novodmitrovsk
In early 2011, the small region of Lusianka rebelled against the central power of Chernarus. Since then, a bloody conflict has raged between two entities: the national forces supported by several Western countries and the separatist forces, supported themselves by several former Soviet socialist republics. The conflict has had almost no respite since February 2011, and civilian casualties are high. The international press and several NGOs have reported 25,000 deaths, and more than triple that number have decided to leave the region, or even the country. Both sides are accusing each other for the crimes, and it is difficult to single out a one culprit.
Recently, the national forces managed to push the rebel forces into their last stronghold: the city of Novodmitrovsk. Morale remains high on both sides, both are refusing to yield victory. The events of this new day of combat will change the course of this war, and soon it will be time to do a summary of the losses. A question already spreading in the protagnists' minds: was the cost really worth it?
